Overview

Embark on a life-changing pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar with World Trade Travel & Tours Pvt. Ltd. on this 14-day overland journey from Kathmandu. This sacred expedition offers a rare opportunity to witness the unparalleled beauty of Tibet, explore its spiritual heritage, and experience the divine energy of one of the holiest sites in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon traditions. The trip is meticulously designed to ensure a comfortable and spiritually fulfilling adventure while maintaining safety and acclimatization.

The journey begins in Kathmandu with a cultural sightseeing tour of key heritage sites before driving to the Nepal-Tibet border. After completing immigration formalities, travelers proceed through the Tibetan plateau, passing breathtaking landscapes, high mountain passes, and sacred monasteries. As the altitude gradually increases, ample time is allocated for acclimatization to ensure a smooth transition to the high-altitude environment. Along the way, pilgrims will visit significant sites such as Saga, Paryang, and the historic town of Darchen, the gateway to Mount Kailash.

A major highlight of the trip is the three-day Kailash Parikrama (circumambulation)—a challenging yet spiritually rewarding trek around the sacred peak. Pilgrims will traverse rugged terrain, cross the high-altitude Dolma La Pass (5,630m), and visit key religious sites such as Dirapuk and Zutulpuk monasteries. For those unable to complete the trek on foot, yak or pony services can be arranged. The parikrama is believed to cleanse past sins and offer spiritual liberation, making it a profound experience for every devotee.

Another key spiritual milestone is the visit to Lake Manasarovar, where pilgrims can perform a ritual bath and meditation along its pristine shores. This sacred lake is considered the holiest in the world, believed to bestow spiritual purification and inner peace. Devotees also have the option to participate in puja (prayer rituals) and explore the surrounding monasteries, adding depth to their spiritual journey. The surreal beauty of the lake, with Mount Kailash reflecting on its crystal-clear waters, is a sight that leaves an everlasting impression.

The journey back follows the same scenic route, allowing travelers to reflect on their extraordinary experience before returning to Kathmandu. World Trade Travel & Tours Pvt. Ltd. ensures a well-organized itinerary with expert guides, comfortable accommodations, and dedicated support throughout the trip. Whether you seek spiritual fulfillment, cultural immersion, or an adventure of a lifetime, this 14-day Kailash-Manasarovar overland tour promises an unforgettable and transformative experience in 2025.
